How to Split a DVD-9 to Two DVD-5s Without Losing the Menu

DVD-9s, which contain dual-layer discs, are usually used to store large amounts of data such as movies or video games. But sometimes, you may want to split a DVD-9 into two DVD-5s without losing the menu. Here’s how you can do it using DVD-Cloner.

Step 1: Insert the DVD-9 into your computer’s disc drive and launch DVD-Cloner.

Step 2: On the main interface, select the “Copy” tab and then select the “Split to two DVD-5s” option.

Step 3: On the pop-up window, you can choose the output format and the target drive.

Step 4: Once you’re done with the settings, click “Start” to begin splitting the DVD-9 into two DVD-5s.

Step 5: After the process is complete, you’ll have two DVD-5s with the same menu, extra, and movie as the original DVD-9.

It’s important to note that if the movie is less than 4.5GB after removing the menu and the extra, it will be backed up into just one disc. A DVD-5 blank disc is 4.7GB.
