How can I improve the picture quality when ripping DVD to MKV?

  1. Install the latest version of DVD-Cloner (or DVD-Cloner Gold, or DVD-Cloner Platinum).
  2. Click on the “Main menu” button of DVD-Cloner, and click on the “Setup” option. Then you’ll see the “Setup” window.
  1. If you want to convert without quality loss, change the “Using encoder when ripping DVD to MKV” option to “Don’t re-encode, just copy”. If you want to reduce the MKV file size, you can improve the image quality by adjusting the encoding speed. Setting it to “placebo” will achieve the highest compression quality.
