DVD-Cloner XR for Mac provides two advanced burn methods in the "Advanced Setup" window

E-SAO (Enhanced Session-At-Once)

  • Session Control: Burns only one session each time for precise control
  • Best For: DVD±R discs and situations requiring multiple sessions
  • Compatibility: Excellent for older DVD players and various disc brands

E-DAO (Enhanced Disc-At-Once)

  • Complete Closure: Closes and finalizes the disc after burning
  • Best For: Final disc creation and maximum player compatibility
  • Default Setting: Recommended for most burning scenarios

💡 Choosing the Right Method

  • Use E-DAO (Default): For most disc burning needs, final archival copies, and maximum compatibility
  • Use E-SAO: When you need to add content to a disc later or work with specific legacy hardware
  • Disc Collectors: E-DAO is typically preferred for creating permanent backup copies
